This page was created by its author to deride Picasso, an "early proponent of ugly & meaningless 20th century painting", not to celebrate him. Yet, it accomplishes the exact opposite of its intent. Picasso seems as brilliant as ever. These few quotes explain art much better than the site author's FAQ section, where "good art" is defined in such a way to suit the author's personal taste (and yet, he still doesn't manage to dismiss modern art with his definitions, as he defines it mainly as expression of ideas).
This is my favorite:
"We all know that art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand. The artist must know the manner whereby to convince others of the truthfulness of his lies." (The Arts, Picasso Speaks, 1923)
