This is a video of Dredging process. Dredges perform a number important jobs including: digging and building channels, creating new ports and irrigation systems, provide mobility for men and goods, repair the costal defenses, raise the level of beaches, reclaim land for industry, housing and farming, extract ores, minerals and sand in the most economical manner, improve the environment by cleaning seabed and riverbed and removing oil spills. The process of dredging involves a dredger that floats on the water and pumps the material through a temporary pipeline to an off-site location, often several thousand feet away.

This project is initiated by Marine Biz TV in association with Biz TV network, the production house that is based in U.A.E. This film has been registered with the Motion Pictures Association of America and the Writers Guild of America. `DAM999' will highlight and upload the rich cultural heritage of India while telling a compelling story in the backdrop of marine life and an age old dilapidated dam.

The exclusive Cast and Crew Launch of DAM 999, a Sohan Roy film and the first ever Hollywood Movie venture from the mariners was held on 10th Jan 2010 at Gold Souk Grande, Cochin, Kerala, India.
