"In recent days, a number of articles have been printed that assert that a grave danger exists at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear generating station....These articles are highly deceptive. The occurrence of a cataclysmic release of radioactive material as surmised is hinged upon the occurrence of so many statistically impossible events that it is certain to be a practical impossibility."
What a jackass. I don't like it, but I thumbs-uped it so more people can see what an ass he is.
Good.
he made a broad-based argument that anyone should be able to veto anyone's coverage on any moral grounds. She claimed this would "only" affect contraception, but we know in the past that people have tried to block, on "moral" grounds, coverage for STD treatments and maternal care for single women. Since paying a single dollar into the system would give you ultimate veto power, in her estimation, it really could be anything. Anti-vaccination person buys insurance for his employees from your insurer? Good-bye vaccination coverage for everyone in the entire system.
You people are friggin deluded. First, turning to the Bible for economic theory is like turning to the comics section for calculus. Second, the Bible IS NOT for capitalism. It speaks out against wealth and urges people to give it to the poor on many, many occasions.
"Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and your silver have rusted; and their rust will be a witness against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure! Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. You have lived luxuriously on the earth and led a life of wanton pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
Only in the Emergency Department at Massachusetts General Hospital, after the doctors started swarming, and one told her she needed surgery now, did M. learn what had happened. She had scratched through her skull during the night窶"and all the way into her brain.

Gah!I think a helmet or some serious mittens are in order.
From the page: So are you basically saying that you can program DNA to build things for you?
MIRKIN: That's - well, we can program DNA and building blocks to do that. So the idea here is to take tiny bits of matter, nanoparticles, and to attach strands of DNA that have a preconceived and designed code that then guides them through an assembly process based upon known DNA recognition properties to assemble into macroscopic structures that have properties that are defined by the arrangement of those particles within the extended structure
Surprise surprise. Go f yourself, you economic terrorist. Better for the middle class to starve than for your rich buddies to forgo that seventh Jetski. Step 1: help your rich friends raid the coffers of the entire nation. Step 2: tell everyone the deficit is because of welfare moms. Step 3: eat a dick.
From the page: the German empire's onslaught against these tribes-people clearly constitutes genocide, and that many of its elementsââ,¬âlike supremacist racial theories, the quest for Lebensraum, Social Darwinism, and even the use of concentration campsââ,¬âreemerged later in the Nazi Reich.
Bullcrap. People, look at the sources of this information. The Heartland Institute? They have a picture of Ann Rand of their homepage for chrissakes. What's "a free market approach" to climate and the environment? Tea Party nonsense.
From the page: "Instead of threatening to withhold Social Security payments of people who really need the money, let's hold the paychecks of all House and Senate members, then see how fast it is resolved!"
From the page: A full-term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks, but elective deliveries are often planned for two or three weeks earlier. And even though 37 weeks is also still considered full term, studies show that babies born even a few weeks too early are at greater risk for health problems than those who are born later. That has some doctors campaigning to curb the trend of scheduled labor and delivery.
To date, through the first quarter of 2011, the nation窶s recovery from the 2007-2009
recession is both a jobless and a wageless recovery. Aggregate employment still has not
increased above the trough quarter of 2009, and real hourly and weekly wages have been flat to
modestly negative. The only major beneficiaries of the recovery have been corporate profits and
the stock market and its shareholders. Most holders of savings and money market accounts also
are net losers due to declining real interest rates which have been in negative territory for many
interest bearing and money market accounts.
From the page: Epps, writing in the Atlantic magazine, noted the amendment's stark language. "It's not hard to argue that the Constitution places both payments on the debt and payments owed to groups like Social Security recipients ... above the vagaries of Congressional politics."
He concluded: "If Congress won't pay them, then the executive must."
Bullcrap. No sources, no links, no proof, just some wackadoodle anti government fear mongering. This article is from a Pakistani paper, and if you haven't noticed, they don't like us much. There is no report from the IAEA or the FAAE on either of their websites, and there are dozens of stories about the plant on google news, so where's this supposed blackout? Really people, not everything on the internet is true.
From the page: The younger Kopplin argued that up-to-date biology texts are crucial to preparing Louisiana students to compete in a global economy. While there are plenty of jobs for biologists, he said, "there are zero creationist jobs. Zero."

From the page: "Whenever we hear a call for XX miles per gallon by 2025, we repeat the mantra 'let the process work!' said Gloria Bergquist, a spokeswoman for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.
As was so eloquently put by the Fark headline writer "The process would have left you bankrupt, toots."
