This is a top rated compression tool, achieving insanely high compression rates for almost all formats
compared to typical compressors at the cost of time and memory. On today's computer this isn't such a big cost.
According to
maximumcompression.com/data/jpg.php [maximumcompression.com/data/jpg.php] it shines particularly in handling JPG where it has a compression ratio of up 25%, where most common tools like winrar, 7z do only 3%.
It's a command line tool, though on windows you can drag and drop the files you want to compress or decompress.
Since you are most likely going to be one of the rare few using this, you are probably going to use this for your own personal storage rather than for sending to other people who aren't comfort using anything that isn't winzip ,winrar etc.
It also is tops in compression of bmp, word doc, help,
log file, sorted list, and is 2nd placed in 2 two other formats (exe, pdf) and 3rd place in two other formats (dll,English text).
