Anti-malware test lab is a russian based organization, which does periodic tests on a variety of subjects relating to antiviruses.
Unlike most antivirus test sites that test mostly detection via on-demand scanning (i.e download samples that have not being executed, then scan), they have tested many other aspects of antivirus.
In the past, they have tested antiviruses against rootkits, ability to remove existing infections, support of packers as well as resistance to anti-termination attacks.
The current March test focuses on a specific threat, ability to detect polymorphic malware, which is a test on how flexibility the av engine is.
