What's new with me--finished school at the end of December, 2007, and moved to Munich, Germany, with my boyfriend for his Master's. Long story but I worked as a teacher and then 9 months in, he got into Oxford for his PhD, so off we went again....no furniture in a year, not a nice thing at all. We've just settled into our second house out here, and things are FINALLY starting to get back to normal...only problem is I've been wanting to do my Master's as well for the last year and a half, and well, I'm probably screwed while we continue to live here, for money reasons as well as anything else. Sigh. Big jump in university applications due to the recession, and no money at all for foreign students. Sorry for the negativity all! I never did see myself as one who would have to retreat to domesticity and getting upset over porridge dumped in the sink--I'm having problems reconciling the loss of what I'd thought of as my "potential". I guess that's life...and yet I reject that...
