You'll be able to rotate the camera left/right around the player, and also be able to change the camera's "following distance" on-the-fly if you so choose. You're looking here at just a couple of quick formulas for determining the camera's X and Z coordinates based on the player's position, rotation amount (in degrees), and distance from the player.
