Otherwise, I also thought this page was kinda stupid, but only because it didn't give any particularly easy to compare statistics, I think the authors just picked the most interesting ones, but they didn't give the context. Annoying.

A cogent argument for vaccination.

Love love love this. I think this is how one ought to live life, with everything being a personal favorite.

While I enjoyed the (apparently) competent and interesting analysis of what happened to Keeler and why, the above sentences turned me off to the whole article. It read, to me, like the author was saying, 'I mean, yeah we've got the water, and some people lost their homes and possibly their lives because of it. . .but oh well, things happen, yaknow?" and I'm sure that I wouldn't put actively taking steps that led to people losing their homes and livelihoods and possibly their lives into an "oh well, but whatcha gonna do?" sort of category.

Tech has ups and downs. . .we should remember that.
