I am nothing but an info junkie constantly seeking a fix. It is, to me, like walking in the wilderness and investigating everything to see if it is, or could be, beneficial, now, or in the near future.

Many Thanks to Wolftrain for making me aware of this site.
The words expressed in these quotations are supposedly the words of the people our ancestors called savages. I guess, in a way, they were savages since they did not rape and pillage the land in the Euopean Model as demonstrated in the history books. And, imagine the gall of these savages to not take any and all advantage of the open land, the minerals, the wildlife to gain profit for profits sake. Then there is the ultimate silliness of the concept of being at one with The Creator and the Universe.

Talk about seeing and yet, not seeing. One picture says I have great observation abilities, since I found 11 faces, and yet another drives me bonkers trying to find 7 horses when all I see are 5.
    Another great time consuming amusement!

There is one helluvah crisis on the East Coast folks and this is one person doing her best to raise awareness of it. There are all kinds of things begining to show up, fish with tumours, very few adult fish in many species and among many other idiosynchronicities, a proportion of human cancers out of sync with the rest of the continent. Please give her a look see and do as you see fit.........

    About " 'The Starving Ocean'......

This is a personal website, documenting my independent research into today's changing marine ecosystem. An alternative explanation is offered, which I am convinced may be driving many broad trends: that centuries of human fishing has removed such a quantity of protein (building blocks that would normally have been recycled) that we now have a much 'leaner' or 'starving' marine food web, one that is operating at a reduced productive capacity.

A surprising number of puzzle pieces fall neatly into place once this view is considered...in any case, there is a need today for new explanatory theories that account for all of the elements in the larger changing picture. And public awareness of these issues urgently needs to be raised.

I have no formal background in marine biology, no funding, no affiliation, just an intense interest in this subject because of the alarming negative changes that I have witnessed in my (not especially long) lifetime in coastal Atlantic Canada. Originally this project was titled "Wake up and Feed the Fish! A New insight into the causes of the Collapsing Fisheries." My suggestion (which I still think may be useful) was that we find a way to divert solid human food scraps to the fishing banks. But the new website title, 'The Starving Ocean,' is meant to reflect the fact that this issue is about much more than fish. And, before entering a debate about treatment options, it is critical that we first establish the correct diagnosis, and then identify the actual cause. The articles posted here cite a wide range of evidence to support the diagnosis of a generally 'starving' ocean, and offer arguments that this 'starvation' of today's marine life may ultimately have been caused by human fishing."

I found this place on Stumbler 'ceanna' place and I found the message to be profound and meaningful. I have found from various sources that the Hopi people accept life as it is. Anything that happens, happens for a reason and there is no need to cry over spilled milk. This, in no way, implies a weak, helpless people but rather a very self reliant and very capable society. I recommend a reading of the message from the "Elder."

I found many a curious topics on this site. The conclusion I arrived at is that if it were not for our consumer based society and those terrible bad habits acquired by Archaeologists, such as eating three times a day and needing money to support their families, we might have many more research projects going on to try and fathom these quirks of history.

I imagine if there was a profit to made from dicovering the fact and fiction of these reports it would be done likkety-split.

Just because it can't be proven to be fact does not mean it is fiction. I highly recommend checking out this place and see for yourself...

Khalil Gibran, a very wise man, IMHO, has uttered many a thoughtful axiom. There is many a truth to be found in examining the contents of this site...

"Your thought is social science, a religious and political dictionary.
    Mine is simple axiom.
Your thought speaks of the beautiful woman, the ugly, the virtuous, the prostitute, the intelligent, and the stupid.
Mine sees in every woman a mother, a sister, or a daughter of every man.
The subjects of your thought are thieves, criminals, and assassins.
Mine declares that thieves are the creatures of monopoly, criminals are the offspring of tyrants, and assassins are akin to the slain.
Your thought describes laws, courts, judges, punishments.
Mine explains that when man makes a law, he either violates it or obeys it. If there is a basic law, we are all one before it. He who disdains the mean is himself mean. He who vaunts his scorn of the sinful vaunts his disdain of all humanity.
Your thought concerns the skilled, the artist, the intellectual, the philosopher, the priest.
Mine speaks of the loving and the affectionate, the sincere, the honest, the forthright, the kindly, and the martyr.
Your thought advocates Judaism, Brahmanism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam.
In my thought there is only one universal religion, whose varied paths are but the fingers of the loving hand of the Supreme Being.
In your thought there are the rich, the poor, and the beggared.
My thought holds that there are no riches but life; that we are all beggars, and no benefactor exists save life herself.

Upon visiting this site I immediately began perusing its many chambers and found myself totally engrossed in the various subjects. I can't help but highly recommend this place to anyone searching for light. While there are many roads to enlightenment we are, if searching for light, to choose at least one. This site might be considered an Atlas for the trip.

Now, here is a site after my my own heart. It is a multi-disciplinary approach to a subject that affects so many of us in this day and age. Like, why do I love this food and never get sick of eating it for a while and then go goo-goo over something else, etc., etc. While I found this site thru stumbler 'gcl,' the machine claims I am the first to suggest this page. So, I am suggesting it. Thanks to GCL
