An excellent eco-build material on this website, together with much info on the advantages of strawbale building.
The founder and author of a well-written and imensely practical strawbale publication, Barbara Jones, an ex-neighbour of my sister in Lancashire (showing how small this world seems at times) really is doing a sterling job of promoting this so-overlooked building material. In Britain alone we have enough to build 250,000 houses a year. Why oh why isn't the government looking seriously and sensibly at it as a sure fire way of considerably reducing the carbon footprint of our new-build houses?

A superb, first rate site for those of us who appreciate true 'freedom' and not the West's definition, nor what they also claim is a 'democractic society', when it is neither 'free' nor 'democratic' in the true sense. Self-serving politicians and a government that doesn't give a hoot (except when it comes to them staying in power!) coupled with an ever burgeoning public sector workforce and 'big brother', it's refreshing to see sources of valuable information to provide the tools to escape these restraints and an otherwise burdensome society. Three cheers for these guys!
