CBS-TV COVERAGE OF JFK'S ASSASSINATION
11-and-a-half hours of as-it-is-happening November 1963 video footage from the CBS Television Network concerning the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. This massive 65-part series begins at the very minute JFK was being struck down by assassin Lee Harvey Oswald's bullets--1:30 PM EST (12:30 PM CST in Dallas, Texas) on Friday, November 22, 1963. At that time, CBS-TV began airing that day's episode of the soap opera "As The World Turns", which was interrupted at 1:40 PM EST by Walter Cronkite's first bulletin of the shooting in Dallas. This extensive series includes 9 hours of CBS coverage from the day of the assassination (11/22/63), plus an additional 1.5 hours of footage from 11/24/63 and another 1 hour from 11/25/63, which was the day of President Kennedy's funeral.
