our legal system is messed up...

Next thing you know, a couple of husky fellows at the next table grab you, hustle you out the door and down to the local police station. You are arrested on a charge of sedition. Within months you are indicted, tried and convicted. The judge sentences you to 5-10 years in prison -- and off you go! Think this could never happen? Well, it did, and not that long ago --during World War I -- to scores of ordinary people in Montana. They discovered very painfully that their free speech rights had been stripped away by the state legislature.
i doubt even if congress wants to do this they'd have the guts to pass this bill, but you never know..
...Because the only way to fight terrorists who hate our freedom is to suspend said freedoms...yeah right. conservatism is supposed to be about limited government and strict interpretation of constitution, but this is neither.

I started to thumb this up but then noted a section called "atheism and religion" in the corner. I thought "huh, what does that have to do with A.I?" so I clicked it and found out that this site is only half about a.i, and the other half is ranting self-righteously about how religious people are pure evil idiotic psychopaths. Being religious I thumbed that notion down.
In the last part of this I find it strange the historian thinks multiculturalism is something tocquevilles would like. Whereas it seams his commentary on lack of common bonds being bad would suggest otherwise. All it does its change the situation from competing individuals into competing groups. Every country needs its own culture, and I find the globalizing of the worst and shallowest elements of American culture to the rest of the world combined with multicultural efforts to be deeply disturbing. I much prefer "interculturalism" (look it up) to multiculturalism if there must be dialogue between cultures (such as international relations). Psychology has taught me that emphasizing differences divides and emphasizing similarities unites. I have even heard of studies suggesting trust levels and generosity decrease the less homogenous a place is. One culture is not necessarily right, and we must strive to improve our own societies culture where it fails, but trying to force some program of equality between them isn't fixing the solution. In fact, it seems to blindly ignore the fact there might be problems within each of our own cultures. (if there all equal and good, then no improvement would be necessary).
Makes me wonder whether black Friday is a net positive or a net negative for the world...

I hear about wealth re-distribution and population control allot, but what of population re-distribution? Ideally there would be less cities and more eco-friendly villages/towns close enough between each other that you could actually walk town to town in certain areas.

One of the most interesting stumblers Ive come across in awhile. I especially like the environmental focus. There are certainly some ideological differences I can tell, but from her comments she seems more open-minded. Refreshing compared to the unfortunately common practice of "My side=good, your side=evil, end of discussion" attitude Ive often witnessed...

I find it sad that some people are acting like this man having children is a crime, there's too much hate and stigma frothing forth from the population control people these days. Reminds me of the professor who said AIDS is good because it reduces population...By the way its "Sterilization" genius.
