Hello everyone! My name is Dexter and I'm a business owner, real estate investor, programmer and musician among other things. I've got so many interests and I practice all of them in one way or another.
I've spent a third of my life in three different places each, so I grew up in three places. First, my home country (Trinidad & Tobago), then my family came to the States (I was 11), and we lived in Florida until I was 20, then we moved here to North Carolina.
I have many interests and I've always been encouraged to learn and do the things that interest me so I've managed to accomplish quite a bit in my short 30 years.
I'm a published author (Music for the Simple Man), and composer, I speak two languages and learning a third, I've acquired an alphabet soup of certifications in the IT field but the one thing I haven't done yet is fulfill the dream of being a philantropist.
I know it sounds corny but I want to be wealthy to help others. One day I plan on opening a secure shelter for battered and abused women, after school programs for at risk youth and quite a few other ideas.
I also have this dream of taking a year (or two) long world trip where I actually live in each country and really get involved in the culture and not just look in from a tour bus or from a hotel or resort.
I think that's why I'm seriously taking a look at business ownership. I've been self empoyed for several years, and with the recent hit in the economy, I lost a lot of contracts because of budget cuts, so it's not as lucrative as it once was.
In the back of my mind I've always known that owning your own business was always the best way to get what you want in life as my parents were business owners.
It is something that I am now persuing and after a lot of research I've started my own business with Nouveau Riche (means Newly Rich) and it's all about building wealth through Real Estate Investing and Business Ownership.
I am looking for people who are interested in real estate investing and business ownership and anyone who wants to earn additional income.
