Lawl, as if Microsoft's fucking Office suite needs an upgrade to the Web. Power to people who want to buy apps, but I'm just as happy paying the AbiWord ten bucks and using their suite indefinitely (and, guh, emailing drafts to people should I need to work collaboratively?!). -

From the page: "Such tactics are not unheard of at congressional hearings in Washington, D.C., but Comcast's critics said that they were inappropriate for a public hearing on a college campus."
Yeah, that sort of thing is fine in government, but c'mon! -

Ho fuck. Remember this? This Dead Rising suit is kinda like that, but with less to go on. What the fuck are the lawyers going to say? 'Buh, it's a mall, and, and, and, and, that's a mall too. AND THEY'RE FILLED WITH ZOMBIES. Buh, case closed' NO WRONG YOU FAIL DIE IN A FIRE -

Coleslawsome article about why PC gaming sucks, quite a lot. Pay special attention to the section on copy protection; the games I enjoy enough to actually buy sit on my shelves, unopened but for their CD keys (well unless they're Steam games - after all, with Steam, you're buy the RIGHT to play a game on any computer you stuff your login data into). This is because virtual copies that live for geologic time on BitTorrent sites are the ultimate CD backup, and in case I lose the CD key of the game I paid actual factual money for, I can still enjoy the single-player, if not the multi. -

OK, fine - it's not the best English I've ever read, but c'mon. Gold is fucking supposed to be diamagnetic! They broke physics! I'm submitting a bug report, and they'll be sorry in the next release.
