WFAA in Dallas, Texas reports on a new wave of fiber arts activism. Knitters and crocheters have gathered together across the nation to create uterii for those congressmen who attempt to force their beliefs and their politics where they don't belong, in hopes that perhaps if they have their own uterus, they won't feel the need to try to control ours.
This is a teacher who teaches special education math at the middle school that I attended, and she needs your help to provide learning tools for her class. It seems like a very worthy cause, and is worth taking a look!
Very cool stairs, but it doesn't say where any of them come from, so you'd have to start from scratch if you wanted to build any of them in. Disappointing in that regard, but still, they're good ideas.
This is certainly a webcomic to watch. It's been around a little less than 6 months, but it's already a gem. Very british absurdist humor.
An article regarding the development of a safe, realistic jet-pack that costs about as much as a fancy sports car. Exciting prospect, no?
Explodingdog.com is a website where the author takes emails from people and illustrates what the subject lines make him think of, essentially, the subject lines become the titles of his pieces and he goes from there. I particularly liked this one because it was rather silly.
An interesting recipe site, seems to have a good mix of recipes!
I haven't tried the recipe but it certainly looks intriguing. I like pumpkins, I like flan, I might just have to try this!
completely awesome design for a humidifier. could you imagine this working? steam coming from the dragon's mouth.. all it needs are some led's to light the steam!
Surprisingly not actually pertaining to Everquest, eqcomics tells the story of a man traveling the world to discover the meaning of life. Very well done, it feels like each strip is straight out of his travel log. Quite funny!
Funny picture I found on the internet.
A geek chick makes pretty jewelry in the shape of various molecules. This one is my favorite, though I can't afford it.
It's a picture of a pile of ducklings, and as such raises many important questions, such as: "Where did the ducklings come from?" and "Why are they all piled like that?" and, my favorite, "Who keeps that many ducklings all in one place at once?"
Linked from CakeWrecks, a funny little blurb about how recessions cause more people to get vasectomies.
Picture of a particularly funny cake on CakeWrecks.
A comic regarding Stackos, their lives, and daily activities..
A wonderful waste of time.
an interesting look at the other side of outsourcing.
