Its sad to watch companies like Google, use their position to gain users for new projects. Other start-ups will have to work hard for months or years before they got a stable user-base, and at the same time, they may even lose their hard earned users to Google.

Google started out as a search engine if I'm not mistaken, and i think its important that we keep it that way. It doesn't seem fair that what started out as just being an index of other sites, is now becoming a competitor to those very sites. Its like Google turned against those who made their search engine possible for them.

Having that said however, we can only hope that Google+ will be less restrictive to marketing then Facebook, who recently ruined the "suggest to friend" feature of pages. Currently i think Twitter is one of the best places for start-ups to "get known for free", and thats important when you can't afford to pay for PPC advertising.
