Part 1 gives you a solid explanation of the scientific method as it relates to the development of hypotheses and theories and relates this back to evaluating whether a particular citation is scientifically sound or not. Part 3 contains references and sources that you might find useful. But at the very least, read Part 1.

Once you cross certain thresholds, change is no longer incremental but exponential. We are fast approaching those thresholds in which entire ecosystems will collapse. Peer-reviewed studies such as this one are not the result of dire, alarmist propaganda but scientifically sound observations conducted over time.

We have to act now. Otherwise, the losses will be far greater than most can imagine.
