Antinomy/books

The LiveJournal of the author Steven Brust. In terms of characterization and skillfully putting words in a line, he is one of the best writers in the business today. He is among my top five favorite living novelists.

This is a good idea implemented incredibly badly. It insists on using incorrect titles and on adding spurious authors to well-known works. Perhaps the extraneous authors are providers of prefaces, but they are annoying, whoever they are. Worse, it provides checklists of books, but it then proceeds to add only one of the books checked to one's own list. It would thus take many hours to add a significant fraction of one's library if one happens to read enough to be a candidate for the offered service.

Malcolm Gladwell writes thought provoking articles on a wide range of subjects. I discovered his work relatively recently, and he already has become one of my favorite journalists.
