    Huh?

Seems that half of the SU population are now outlaws in SU terms. Including me. Now I believe it is in the site operators best judgement to see fit that I am kicked off for insulting so many stumblers AND publicizing private messages without asking (after myself being ignored for no good reason that is) and linking to "illegal" sites such as p2pnet, piratebay, EFF, DeCSS Gallery and various other criminal or terrorist sites that either object to censorship, the Bush administration, USA, oppression or any sites that promote individual freedom over corporate law.

I admit, I'm guilty for doing all of these. I guess it's about time I started playing outside SU. These rules and regulations here are getting more and more fascist by the day.

Time to update my review here. She's not the most active Stumbler, but does she even need to be? :) I love her anyway. We are soon to become busy parents. She's on her 35th week starting yesterday and her tummy is growing by the day, the baby was estimated to be 40 cm and around 2 kg today.

    Here's a picture I took yesterday:'>

This is a review for Thanatos.net -- a site I have never visited, but from which I "stole" this god awful graphic from. Shows us some sites should be boycotted just because they call the perfectly normal Internet usage "a crime", "bandwidth theft" and God knows what. Further more they seem to dislike ordinary people just using the tools that were given to them. This is how the Internet works guys, get used to it and quit crying like pussies every time someone gives your site some publicity. Thanatos.net is now officially on my shitlist, thanks for giving me a reason to boycott you. I call for other Stumblers to do the same. There is not much idea in having nails if you aren't allowed to use the hammer.

Update (9.3.2006): Surprise surprise, the owner of Thanatos.net, Diabolus decided to pay my site a visit and critizise this particular review. Here's the discussion chain that followed:

Mar 8, 11:24pm I just noticed your "review" of my anti-hotlinking logo (thanatos.net). I gotta say, you sound like somebody who hasn't had to pay for bandwidth before. Also, as far as complaining about people advertisting my site, you obviously don't get that either. If people hotlinked my images while advertisting my site or at the very least, giving my site credit in some small way, I would have no problem with it whatsover. When you actually run and own a website that you pay for out of your own pocket, then you can start pitching fits about bandwidth usage... until then, get off of your soapbox.

12:28am Some site management pointers for the bandwidth concious:
Coral How-To for almost all your needs, Open Content Network for Creative Commons stuff, Dijjer is a possibility too.. How about making some adjustments and stop bitching about bandwidth issues, cause it just doesn't help. Hotlinking happens no matter how hard you cry.

12:30am Coral would be the safest bet I guess.

12:34am I don't need some pointers, you fucking cunt. I know how to stop hotlinking using htaccess. Shove your pointers up your fucking ass... if there's any room up there. And you still don't get it. What a moron.

12:39am Hotlinking isn't your problem, it's your attitude. Stop complaining about bandwidth and money. I was polite enough to offer some help but seems it fell on deaf ears. Sorry but my ‘review’ stays.

From the page: “You say that "you can bet your business on Free Software"; how do you back up that statement?

How can you bet your business on proprietary software? If a company is bought, goes bankrupt or merges or decides to delete a product line you have no choice but to go with whatever product or path they desire. How can you plan when the company keeps changing its licensing terms, and you have no real alternatives? What do you do when the company that makes your software puts its own profits and its values ahead of yours, the customer? When the software company holds back on releasing the latest bug fix so it fits its "release schedule?" When you can't get that one little feature added that would allow you to streamline your business, save a lot of money and beat your competition to market?

I call Michael Dell's words bullshit here and now. If you don't want to choose a distribution, then don't. Go for LFS or some other meta distro like Debian or Gentoo, give your support to them if you will, the community will pick it up from there! For crying out loud...

I'm a christian. Should I be offended? Well guess what!: I am not. So how is it so many people calling themselves christian are?

We all know Jesus wasn't ‘doing it’ for capitalism. We also know many so-called christians are. So why should I be offended, for it's not my faith that's been critizised in the cartoon?

Let's make this one heard. The managing editor of the student journal Sheaf has been forced to sign a letter of resignation for publishing a cartoon depiction of Jesus and a pig (Don't ask!), and now the canadian bible belt has been calling for “everything from a boycott of sheaf advertisers, to an end to the publication of the sheaf, to a boycott of the university itself”. How about showing some support at this cause?:)

A similar event happened in Finland too when a culture magazine and a web-zine Kaltio published a cartoon of Mohammed (of moslem faith) disguised, talking with the cartoonist about free speech. I've read the particular cartoon and it's not even slightest derogatory, however it does criticize the finnish foreign policy. The funding of the magazine was suspended by the major players the bank Sampo and insurance company and Tapiola. The head editor of the magazine was also forced to resign. Here are the english versions of the cartoons.

These are sad days for freedom of speech.
