A Rosemont Way
Recognizing the vast resources of the internet a seeker also finds inherent risk.
We risk being continually distracted and energetically diffused.
Here I will try to concentrate on an essential idealistic core
of universal ageless wisdom, the way of all mystics,
the true guiding heart for one's journey of awakening.
On my first page of reviews are introductory pages and links
to traditions I've found to be universal in scope & nature.
To explore further you can follow the intro. tags & others as well
I intend to leave out any superfluous material or distractions.
I hope this may be of some value to you on your journey home.

    This Is What I Am Here For

    Like each of us, I owe something for the gifts which life has offered me. I want to repay my part for what it's worth. I have had the opportunity to consider and at times apply the balm of Ageless Wisdom teachings which the greatest hearts of all have offered us all, and which for me is the most precious treasure, beyond measure. My only hope is to somehow offer you the same opportunity, to express your hearts highest and deepest yearning.

    I am happy, in any way, to offer even a single meaningful moment. I couldn't hope for more, because that is exactly what I hope for in this life. That is how it happens; as a yearning arising in the heart; as a wish to offer something meaningful. I know one thing; whatever we are here to do, we are here to share, and in sharing we are together and that is most meaningful; for it is our purpose & salvation to become complete in what we share. True compassion is a higher form of love, not just to find happiness, but to know it's true cause & to help see it shared everywhere. There is no goodness apart from our own hearts love.

    It's true all motive springs from self interest & that is why we should seek to align our own self interest with the well-being of each other & all life. Love can be many things, including passion & desire. Let this be our blessing to have a passion for compassion. ~ The heart yearns for happiness, always seeking what it finds most attractive. Even gravity itself is a kind of love, without that there is no power to create.

    The society we live in is structured on quite a different foundation. Capitalism has become merely materialism because it has valued money above all; and this is a false value because the things most important in our lives are priceless; Air, water, health, safety, relationship, growth, love & wisdom. A culture of materialism binds us to money which supports a largely impersonal life with a price on everything, so we become isolated from each other; effectively captive dependents of false values.

    In our hearts we know this, because we feel the wounds of our dissatisfaction, which materialism further exploits, offering false remedies for our condition. Money has become the universal drug we have been pushed to abuse, to be dependent upon and enslaved to. If we are ever to be free of our bondage we must deny giving power to our delusions, and acknowledge the power of our hearts true aspiration.

    Awakening to our highest values we can become trustworthy fearless compatriots, truly serving our wholesome best interest, thus healing the wounds of our separateness and dissatisfaction. This is why I feel obligated to promote the ideals of spiritual living, which I have come to call A Rosemont Way & life's temple, spiritual community, which I will call A Rosemont Fellowship. This is what I am here for.

    A Rosemont Way

    If one ignites a flame in a cave,
    darkened for eons of time,
    the darkness flees.

    Recognizing this eternal truth,
    every moment, abandon conflict;
    it's causes and support.

    A Rosemont Way: The Way of the Mystic's Journey Exploring

    Here is the path;
    Imagine you are walking alone in nature
    during the peak of springtime, on a beautiful high mountain trail.

    You recognize that off to your right,
    through the trees is a broad vista of the valley below.
    Just ahead you notice a small side trail heading that way;
    should you take it; why not, it's going your way.

    Very shortly you move through the trees, and break into an opening
    overlooking the vast expanse of a high mountain valley
    maybe a thousand feet below.

    There the wind whispers in your ear stay awhile.
    So you find a seat and listen to the quiet wind come from afar.
    Wind and tiny birds are the only sounds you hear in timeless expansive peace.

    After awhile so content, with quiet expansive mind filling space,
    you have noticed before you, a single wild rose swaying in the breeze.
    It seems a lovely joyful dance to you;
    so lovely your heart swells with the immensity of this grand scene
    and little rose; such beauty all.

    What strikes most deeply is this gift;
    if you had gone the other way, this moment would never be.
    Perhaps no eyes would fall upon this rose to acknowledge its loveliness.
    And the rose doesn't seem to care, it may return again and again,
    hoping to catch the eye of God.

    And today in this timeless sacred moment you, the rose, the valley, the mountain
    are all vessels for divine mind, so fully present in this moment here;
    as it always is, potentially in every single moment, in every single place.

    Bhima Noel

    A Rosemont Fellowship is intended to promote the formation of a "New Age Universal Fellowship" which draws it's inspiration from living inner mystic sources; remaining like a river which is ageless yet ever new. Such a "New Age Universalist Fellowship" need not embrace any particular religious tradition, and wouldn't reject any truly universalist expression of wholeness either.

    One of the most famous mantras in Tibet is the mantra of Padmasambhava,
    called the Vajra Guru Mantra,
    OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUM.

    Like most mantras, it is in Sanskrit, the ancient sacred language of India.
    The mantra of Padmasambhava is the mantra of all the buddhas,
    masters, and realized beings, and so uniquely powerful for peace,
    for healing, for transformation and for protection in this violent, chaotic age.

    The Vajra Guru mantra,
    OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU PADMA SIDDHI HUM,
    is pronounced by Tibetans: Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hung.

    This exploration of its meaning is based on explanations
    by Dudjom Rinpoche and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

    The essential meaning of the mantra is:
    "I invoke you, the Vajra Guru, Padmasambhava,
    by your blessing may you grant us ordinary and supreme siddhis."

    From the page:
    "Throughout history, a Sufi was most often known
    as a person of religious learning
    who aspires to be close to God.
    The aim was to reach a state of purity,
    through which they would be in direct relationship with God,
    unite with God, be annihilated in God, subsist in God,
    and then attest to the Oneness of God ---
    as the Holy Prophet had declared, la-ilaha-illa-Allah.
    Reaching this state means that no other but God is in one's heart --- safa."

    Second-hand knowledge of the self gathered from books or gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realisation will do that. Realise yourself, turning the mind inward. - Tripura Rahasya, 18: 89

    Tantra, or more properly tantrika, is a diverse and rich spiritual tradition of the Indian sub-continent. Although in recent years, in the Western world, it has become almost exclusively associated with sex, in reality this is one aspect of what is a way of life.

    For Erring Men; the Kama Sutra recommends this evergreen rule:
    A lady, however shy or furious she may be, cannot ignore a man falling at her feet, this is a universal rule (meaning not restricted by time, place or context)

    Yogananda's Mission to the West
    Jesus told his Pharisee critics, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath." Every divinely ordained institution is created for the welfare of mankind, and not for the sake of controlling anyone.
    Babaji made a similar statement to Lahiri Mahasaya on the occasion of their first meeting. In response to Lahiri's thought that he ought to leave, since he had a duty to fulfill to his office, Babaji said, "The office was brought for you, and not you for the office."
    Masters rarely create institutions. When they do so, it is as a means of serving people. Their aim is to inspire, not to control. Usually, they let their disciples bother with such things as founding institutions. Their mission is to promulgate truth and light in a world filled with the darkness of ignorance. It was one mark of Yoganandaji's greatness that, in addition to spreading truth and light, he also sacrificed himself greatly to bring about the formation of an organization. For a master of his stature, the cost must have been considerable. It went against everything that came most naturally to him.

    When I am happy, it is you whom I honour and revere,
    When I suffer, it is you whom I call upon for help,
    You are my source of hope for this life, and protection for the next--
    Padmasambhava, Avalokiteshvara, and my kind root teacher.
    Although you assume these different names and forms,
    In the expanse of your wisdom and in your deeds, you are no different,
    So without considering you as separate, but fused together as one--
    I pray to you: hold me with your compassion!
    At all times and in all situations, inspire me with your blessings!

    "The Far-Reaching Perfection of Sublime Knowing in a Single Letter, The Mother of All Those Gone to Thusness

    HOMAGE TO THE SUPREME MOTHER,
    THE FAR-REACHING PERFECTION OF SUBLIME KNOWING!

    Thus have I heard: at one time, the Transcendent and Accomplished Conqueror, the Blessed One, was at Vultures Peak in Rajagriha, together with 83 fully-ordained monks, and many tens of billions of bodhisattvas, who were all abiding together as one skillful expedient device.

    Furthermore, at that time, at that moment, the Blessed One spoke thus to the Venerable Ananda:

    "Ananda! This is the Far-Reaching Perfection of Sublime Knowing in a Single Letter. For the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings, you should retain this!

    It goes thus:

    AH

    The Transcendent Conqueror spoke these words, and the monks, bodhisattvas, and all the assemblies of gods, humans, demi-gods, and gandharvas, together with the whole world, rejoiced: they all vividly praised the noble speech of the Bhagavan, the Transcendent and Accomplished Conqueror.

    THE FAR-REACHING PERFECTION OF SUBLIME KNOWING IN A SINGLE LETTER, THE MOTHER OF ALL THOSE GONE TO THUSNESS, IS COMPLETE.
