I stepped outside my comfort zone tonight. New place, new people, new outlook. I'm proud of myself. [:
Tomorrow a wonderful person in my life is coming to visit, taking me to the city for the night and staying up here for the weekend. I'm so excited! I have a few people planning to visit this month! It says a lot the way people react to changes. Especially ones that challenge your relationships with people (friends, family and lovers). Moving a couple hours away from my "home" and comfort zone has been a difficult decision and thing to adjust too. In the process, some people have let the physical distance, distance us. On the contrary, some people have really been there to support, love and phisically be there for me. It brings me such deep happiness and satisfaction that I have truly beautiful and loving people in my life. It's these people that show me it's important to be picky and have standards for the people I let surround me. The people we choose to hold close to our hearts will ultimately destroy us or build us up and motivate us to reach for the stars. It's these people and the bonds I share with them that I will cherish for a lifetime! -

This morning it was so gorgeous outside I got up and went for a run. My run ended up turning into a 2.5 hour adventure/hike through the hills and cannals around my house. I'm starting to appreciate how beautiful it is up here. There's something about being surrounded by nature that's just so theraputic and uplifting.
