To initiate the account deletion process, go to:

http://www.stumbleupon.com/delete_account.php.

You will have to log in to your account before you can delete it. This step is absolutely necessary, as we need to verify your identity and ownership of the account. If you do not remember your login information, you may retrieve it from here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/recover_password.php.

Your request for deletion will be confirmed via email.  If you change your mind, the verification message includes a link that lets you stop the process, which takes 14 days to complete.

Once your account is deleted, your personal information will be removed from StumbleUpon. You or another member may open a new account with your old username.


If you are not planning on opening another StumbleUpon account and would like to completely remove it from your computer, you will also have to uninstall the StumbleUpon toolbar, granted you have installed one to begin with.
