Why turn off the tv?

Um no. TV is one way communication, in other words a covert parental figure.

Web is two way. And Web 2.0 is read/write.

You try talking back to the TV.

TV isn't all bad. The Discovery Channel, the History Channel. Back when I still watched TV, I watched these channels almost exclusively. I just have a real problem with how much time people spend staring blankly at TVs. There is much more to life.

That's not an argument. Book is a one way communication too, you can't talk back to the book. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying books and TV are the same thing, but the fact that the internet gives you feedback doesn't necessarily mean it's good. Depends who you're talking to.

I write all over my books. Try making annotations on the tv.

The point is not that it gives me feedback. It's that I CAN GIVE it feedback.

Yes, AFAIK;

-You do indeed have to act physically to write, unless you have a personal scribe who telepathically executes your will.
