OH come on, let's get realistic! They're making a big deal out of Obama's speech, about everything Bill Clinton says, they made a huge deal out of John Edward's haircut. Are you trying to tell me this is NOT going to be a big deal?

What if he DID have an affair? Yes it is different, he is NOT president *yet*, much less a popular president. This is not just going to go away any time soon.

Can he recover from it? Yes, I think it's possible, but it's not going to be easy.

22: YES, agreed, MB. There was more in that article about a letter he wrote for her, blah blah.

This will be over today? HA HA HA HA!

Besides it reminds all of us that McCain has the kind of experience none of us want to vote for...

Give me a freakin break! Theres nothing to this story other than headlines. The headlines ARE the story.

Don't make me start defending McCain... because then I'll get mad... and you don't want to see me when I'm mad.... errrrrg uggggggg errrrggg *cough* *cough*

21: I accept you're opinion, but I quietly argue that the girl was indeed fat.

Journey, I read the entire article, and I don't agree with you. There could be more.

Look, I don't dislike McCain, other than his war views. I'm not hoping for anything bad. And I'm not saying, necessarily, that anything *should* come of this. I don't know. I'm just saying, that this is not going away, and could damage his presidential run.

AND, I don't like the NYT, either.

I say it won't last for a couple reasons, most notably--no one cares about the Republican Party this year. Whomever is nominated will be defeated anyway, barring some "game-changing" event. Secondly, there's no sense of immediacy in it. I mean, Americans are most directly concerned with two issues: the economy and the ongoing conflict in Iraq. A nearly decade-old story doesn't have teeth for Americans.

Obama is the story of 2008 and unless this affects him or he runs with this, it's old news and no news.

They had to have a freakin intervention to save McCain from himself... a self that has a pattern of ethical problems. That's the story. The side story is McCain's history of infidelity (marrying his now-trophy wife 30 days after divorcing his previous wife and shortly after she had been injured or disfigured or something), not that it matters to me, but it probably will to some.

What a tool. Huck is smiling today.

27: It's not old news because it didn't become news until last night.

28: Come on, man. Like your wingman never saved you from a chick.

The same people who frequently refer to Obama as a commie, stalinist, un-american and a terrorist will, of course, be calling the breaking of this story a hitjob. Imagine that...

*chortle*

Anyway, I can resist:

Maybe he should axe Hitlery if she has any advice for his wife?

This is for dressing up McCain for a fall to Hillary.

Once Mike and John start dishing dirt on each other people will leave toward Barrack and Hillary. Frank Luntz is an ass, but he's a smart ass.
