Well, I heard a rumour saying he sold the copyrights for the SU-Player to Sony or stuff and then took a plane to the Bahamas. Jus' a rumour, though...

They're probably hard at work on the rootkit installer right now.

I feel like I'm totally overlooking something obvious here, but I just can't seem to add songs to my player. I've tried Fileden, Multiply, and a couple others that I can't remember- I upload the songs to the host, but when I try to add them to my player, it says "link has bad characters" or something to that effect. Lot's of %'s and other such stuff. Other sites will just give me a link to download the song back to my computer- when I highlight the code, I see all those "bad characters" again. I've read a few other threads on using the player, but it seems like noone else is having this problem. What am I missing here?

Heh. It sounds like you're switching the Title and URL. ;)

I wish it were that simple, embarassing as it would be... but I just tried it again, just to be sure- on Fileden they give 3 choices of linking codes- URL, BB and HTML- I click on URL and it brings up a little box saying "the URL to this file is" - and then they give me this: fileden.com/files/2006/8/18/173467/Against%20Me%21-Searching%20for [fileden.com/files/2006/8/18/173467/Against%20Me%21-Searching%20for]%
20a%20Former%20Clarity-06-Violence.mp3

So I copy and paste that and get the bad characters message.

It doesn't like the %21 which is !

Looks like a bug, I bet hxseven can fix it when he gets back. In the meantime just don't use exclamation points in your fileden names.

That did it- Thanks!

*Edit*- (for people who have this problem in the future using Fileden- when you upload the song, don't add any spaces to the name- FD changes them to the %20...)

%20 is the hexadecimal representation of a space in the ASCII-table, so it's not doing anything wrong...

Yeah, it didn't have a problem with the %20 chars but it won't accept %21.

Maybe it's the XML parser, if so I think defining those fields as Character Data should fix it?
