Stumbleupon's integrity = Gone?

Thumbing up PayPal is a red flag. I know you're both owned my ebay but I truly do not like them, and I'm finding more and more my clients don't either... Anyway. Thanks for fighting Real Spam. I don't think SU's integrity has gone anywhere.

Just take a look at their blogs and see their marked interests... "cyprus-car-hire", "cyprus-this-other-thing", they all last logged in 8 hours ago. Hell, I thought spammers had already learned how to make it less obvious.

illuminati420, that guy at DP got banned. Big surprise, eh?

With every "next best thing" comes a flood of people who want to exploit it for their own use. Why should SU be any different?

You can't possibly police the 4 million + members (almost doubled in a year or so) and unless the devs want to integrate some sort of user signup/verify process then it leaves the door open to those who want to rort the system.

Looks like all the hard work the guy at DP did was a waste of time (for him)

He was prepared to be banned. All he was doing was offering everyone a chance to stop what they were doing before he presented the info to SU. It's only a waste of time if SU already HAD the info or if they plan to do nothing with it.

...all that is needed for spam to triumph is for good stumblers to do nothing...
