I was taken aback
by the sudden realisation
of novelty
and discovery.
a wrigling
childish laugh
snaked it's way through my mind
to be lost in the contemplation
and the need to be part of something
just for the sake of doing it
and so the sun rolls on the hills of my life,
as i witness the disappearance of it.
the light
continues to fade on and over,
i watch in wonder waiting for a bird to fly by.
but there are no tweets.
only me
only me thoughts roam and roar in the silence.
feel my heartbeat and the sunrises
from all things we try to learn,
from living and laughing to being hurt and spurned,
people from one side of the world to the other,
all the same but still different,
they stamp and clap and run around,
all like rocks upon the beach,
slowly being ground down by life's steady waves.
Into the night
We shall run,
Away from it all
From the pain and from the pleasure
Into the night,
We hide our greatest sorrows
Away from the daylight
For it leaves us burning
Into the night,
We will always be shielded.
Let the shadows guide you

From dusk until the dawn
