Tell them to stop sending you junk and if they don't just unfriend them. Done.

you can only receive shared pages from your friends.
if you've unfriended them, the shares stay until you stumble through them, i'm afraid.
in the meantime, you can flag whoever is sending you spam as a spammer.

And about 40 of your friends have been suspended for breaching our terms. No wonder... I suggest you unfriend all these people and only befriend users that you either personally know or trust.

and as Anitab said: you have to stumble through all their shares first unfortunately, then make sure you flag them as spammers.

Re: this subject I have just been accused of being a spammer by someone who had not used SU for the last 10 weeks or so. In that time I have probably sent them maybe a dozen things as they were on my friends list.

My point is that, from the way I see it, I haven't been 'spamming' and yet somebody can report me as a spammer due to the fact they have not used the site for a long period of time.

I have asked questions in these help forums before in the past (and have always had helpful responses (including from some of the names above)) but I worry that I could be banned here just because someone accuses me of spamming.
Should I be worried?

to #9: No, definitely not.

The type of sites and "calls to action" sent by a spammer are very different than what a friend would send.

If you're sending your friends pages after pages of "sign up for this" or "buy this gadget" or "get this discount coupon", then maybe you should be worried, but if you send an informative article, video that you really liked and want your friends to see, there's nothing to worry about.

Hope this helped!
