My kid accidentally put his cell through the wash. So now I bought him a Fido phone which I was told would work on his Roger's sim. The phone was cheap, and it'll give him time to save for a better one. But it looks like I need to find a way to unlock it as the message I get is Insert correct sim card. I called Roger's technical but they wont help as it is not their phone, but they did tell me it will work if I can enter a unlock code. So here I am - anyone know how to do it, and do it for free? There are several on-line sites that offer you a code for cash.

You could've just dried the original phone & put it through some WD-40.
Roger's is a pretty sinister monopoly.
Each phone model has a different unlock code and method, I might post specifics to your model when I'm less drunk, because last night was a shitshow =)
Anyhow just up and paid for a unlock code from a website. But still waiting on it. Says it can take up to 36 hours to receive. Just hoping it works, and I didn't get ripped off.
