nice tweaks.
one question though, are these work-safe tweaks?
i mean can I do this @ work and not get into trouble with
our techs?

as far as i know they only affect your browser, not the rest of the company!

Dealing with Tech Support, Rule #35: Ask forgiveness, not permission.

(Rules #1 - 34: Buy them coffee, biscuits, beer, ice-cream, etc. at any and every possible opportunity)

How else does one learn?

(Rules #1 - 34 also usefully apply to: bar-staff, security personnel, the Personal Assistant to the CEO (the real boss of the company), local law enforcement officers, waiting-staff (at your local), etc.)

...government officials, auditors, the tax man, wives...

Yes, we're all human. We really just want our share of beer and chocolate (but maybe not at the same time).

Rule #36: People from tech support will assure you that they are human. It is imperative that you do not let them know that you know the truth.

Am I off-topic, yet? (*shameful grin*) - #14 is actually genuine advice.
