Some of you may have noticed that you're seeing a previous version of the SU interface, also known as "V2."
We've rolled users back to this interface to prepare for upcoming changes that will add new features and optimize many existing ones.
When these changes are released in the next few days, we'll offer members an easy way to toggle back and forth between the New StumbleUpon experience and previous versions.
According to one of our senior developers, the following changes are visible to new visitors, but not currently registered members:
1. Improved SU homepage
2. Improved URL Review page
3. Improved Tag page
4. Improved web stumbling with Mass Share
Yes. It means that while sending a URL you will be able to send to multiple accounts. (Mass sends)
It was requested long ago by one of the leading SEO experts that frequented the cores advertising his wares awhile back. Eric loved the idea. I suppose implementing this feature wasn't as hard as implementing others would be.
Would it be hard to implement an option to turn off Mass Shares, if it does arise that a person doesn't like receiving them? E.g. if we constantly receive spam through it?
My friends who happen to be new users tell me they are still in beta. And that there are changes in video posting (videos can be embedded now), changes in the way friends are displayed and so on.
I wonder why cant we see these changes? Why arent we no longer in beta?
Walter: how is it that rolling us back to what we had before will prepare us for what is yet to come? I'm confused.
In the upcoming release all members will have the option to try out the new design directly from their profile page. Members will no longer need to be part of the beta group in order to preview the feature. They can switch back and forth easily from the header.
As a part of this change, all users who previously used classic or standard UI are restore to their default state. Once we release the update, you will be able to set your preference. As far as new users we didn't want to change their UI to a version they haven't seen before. They will be automatically upgraded when we release the update.
If you have more questions on the exact implementation details, PM me and I will try to answer as much as possible.
