Some retro games are really cool. Back in the day you couldn't count on graphics and flashy effects, so you had to make the game _fun_ (what a concept!) Take those fun ideas, toss some modern eye-and-ear candy around 'em, and make 'em free. That's a party!

My only problem with that list is that avidemux, if I remember correctly, isn't very user friendly. It's a typical open-source program in that it sort of makes you feel like you're programming something, even when you're not. It didn't end up working... more
