Plastic waste and using the ocean as a dumping ground. Once it was untreated sewage but at least that was biodegradable. Now it is thousands of tons of plastic that birds, mammals and turtles mistake for food. We are quite literally choking this planet to death.

I have seen little birds attacking birds of prey before but nothing like this. We tend to think of heroic and altruistic behaviour as human, but birds are clearly willing to risk all, to save their families.
