Nice image; at around 50 wing beats per second, this must have been a fast shutter speed to freeze the action.

man owls look so damn cool. they are bound to be pretty close to an apex predator if not outright. gotta love anyone who is willing to take some blood loss to help an owl :) EDIT- wow... on second viewing i realized that that owl is able to dilate its pupils independently...... more
