Well presented analogy and mostly true. But, there is one big difference. A well-run business can truthfully attract, seduce, close the deal, deliver value, and maintain relationships with many customers over time, and that makes them more than pickup artists.
Pickup artists are always scamming because nothing sustainable can be achieved when closing the deal is the end game, delivering nothing to the customer but a one-night stand. Sure, there are a lot of companies like that and they generally end up like pick artists, wasted and broke.

Ultimately, even seduction comes down to some basic elements of human psychology. If you can sell a suboptimal product (often yourself) to someone who doesn't actually need it (or can do better), then selling a product should be a snap.
