this whole concept it kind of silly for me because it all lies on mentality, just like any other depression does.
if there's existential depression there's also existential happiness. both seem kind of pointless to discuss, because obviously gifted individuals think more existentially. the feelings that go along with it are kind of besides the point.

While I still despise my own mortality I think that understanding the importance of subjectivity helped me through my own existential crisis. Though there is an external objective reality we can only see it through a subjective lens, making all views of reality merely an interpretation. Logically speaking if nothing in the universe has any objective meaning it then follows that it doesn't matter what we ascribe meaning to subjectively. Essentially the meaning of life and existence is whatever you want it to be, and there is nothing wrong with that.

i've read about this in better places. why would i wanna read about it on a forum? plus, there's gonna be like 1000 people who're gonna think that they're gifted because they're depressed.
