Um, rollingmidnight, you're wrong. Their eyes are more sensitive, and they can see in lower light, but they cannot see in the all-the-way dark.
From the page: "I added a light socket so I could plug in a little night-light so Baxter can see what he's eating. Later"
cats can see in the dark.....
It's kind of neat, but what's the point of a "food box"?
From the page: "Later I might add a cup warmer on a timer for when I feed him canned food so he doesn't have to wait so long for it to warm up from the "
Who the hell puts cans in the fridge
how cute is that?!
That's a great idea. I would have to build on another room to hold the boxes for my cats. I have 6 of them so I,ll just have to keep playing food gaurd instead of using this cool contraption. I like it though.
.....night light for the kitty food box...ok. Really I don't like cats that much and cat people pamper their cats to ridiculous ends!
When you go to that amount of trouble to make such a contraption, then take pictures and blog about it I figure you deserve a thumbs up! Cats rule! :-)
My cats would love a food box. Great idea.
i have no idea why i really enjoyed this.
Sure cats will eat it off the floor, sure they may not need it but that's the best ever for keeping my dogs out of the cat fud. I might have to try and rig me up something like that. Though, with how fat one of the cats is, I might have to add a dog door and thus would defeat the point. feh
What is a "food box", and what gives the author of this page the impression that cats desire such a thing? If they want food, they'll eat it just a happily from the floor. To be honest, I just don't see the point of this project.
this is a new one for me. i never would have thought of making a food box for my cats...hmmmm.
