Ubuntu = fail.
Ubuntu = fail.
The problem is the Windows user is stupid. The mac user doesn't need brains to flip an on-off switch. He should be using a tricycle. And the monster truck is like the windows car but much more complex.
It's just another picture make by one of the fan boy camps. Mine is better, no mine! It's all pretty lame if you ask me. These conversations remind me of a bunch of 9 year old kids trying to say who's big brother could kick who's ass.
I have used them all. I have ubuntu duel booting on one of my notebooks with a heavily modded XP install right now. I switch back and forth depending on what I'm doing. Nix distros will get the user more involved into the OS and how it works. Nothing is hidden in a maze of on wizards so really the sky is the limit. THe average Non techie computer user that doesn't do much with a computer but play online games, surf, and email really doesn't have a huge need ot even look at any nix distro. THey are going to like the pre packaged GUI and just point and click away. If you want to see just how far your computer can go then by all means, check out some of the Linux distros.
ubuntu is one of the best all around distros out there right now. It's really smooth and does not eat resources like WinXP, Vista, and I'm sure 7 will do.
But I think the picture should have some kind of old work horse vehicle being Windows has been the workhorse OS for a good while.
Not quite so cool, no..
Not very accurate, the mac one should be really wimply looking, and the windows one should be a nascar one with a few screws loose. The linux one is fine, if not badly photoshopped. ;)
Fuck you neon pawns. Try linux before you say it is harder to use. The only thing easier to use is your mother. Her command line interface is very intuitive.
So... Ubuntu is useless and catered to rednecks? I'm pretty sure Linux in general is the one that takes more work to use. Lose the superiority act, please.
I use Linux exclusively and love it, but these pictures are getting very tiresome.
eh, mac ain't that great and i think of ubuntu as a unimog, not a redneck hotrod.
Wait, aren't those wheels not compatible with Linux? Oh wait, no, that's EVERYTHING.
"Linux users are too arrogant to realize that most people don't care if your toolbar is on the top of the screen instead of the bottom"
>> I can't see the point here, you can put the toolbar on the top or on the sides on Windows too but it still sucks.
ha ha :)
On the photo - they were a little rough on poor Windows. I like the other 2 -- they match the spirit of the OS's pretty well.
LOL at Sandoz. I own a Mac, I have 2 degrees in computer sci and MSCE. I also work as a network security admin. I think maybe you need experience before you open your mouth. There is such a amazing lack of basic computer knowledge in your one paragraph it would take me 3 paragraphs just to straighten you out. Seriously different OS's fit different types of users and situations. I use Windows, Linux, and Mac on a daily basis. I like Windows for some of the apps. Linux for speed, flexibility, and excellent use of resources, and at home I use a Mac -- because after troubleshooting all day at work I want to relax -- not spend my time removing spyware and viruses and dealing with the latest patch. If I want to play a game I have an XBOX 360 for that. The assumption that your OS is the best just because it suits you is just silly and shows that YOU don't know the basics of computing.
