well theres nothing to like about this, but i liked. "not literally".
wow... Emmerd below said it all..
Why not look into making a donation to your local food bank this weekend? Or any other local charity that helps local families with their hunger, homelessness and/or other challenges? There are so many people that need legitimate help.
Try to give decent, quality stuff, too. Stuff like canned tuna, canned chicken, dried beans, powdered milk, canned milk, even protein powder that can be mixed with water.
And, just for a change, instead of walking around with misspelled protest signs or getting in other people's faces about how wonderful your religion is, how about counting your blessings in private and then going out to do some community service? If nothing else, there is always litter to be picked up, but I very rarely see anyone with a bible tucked under their arm doing anything so useful. Just sayin'.
This morning I sent out a challenge to my own kids - the ones who snark up their fancy Starbucks drinks on the way to work each morning. I told them I would provide the Mason jar, and every time they passed up their machiatto or whatever and fed the jar instead, I would match the amount. At the end of 30 days we will take our donation to the Oregon Food Bank. Maybe we can make a habit of this.
