Have something to say?
this was fuck crazy to read actually. never have i thought of any of these ideas. my mind is blown at the age of 19 for the first time in my life.
This is awesome. Very well written.
nice article to read but im not convinced that was god......
I'd like this story better if it wasn't purported as fact.
I'd enjoy it perfectly well as a story. The "its a true story guys!" approach to framing seems kind of lazy.
Anyone who associated this with Atheism doesn't quite grasp the meaning of the word. Inclusive in this category are some atheists.
Following this work of fiction requires no belief, and serves as an interesting reminder that although we're headed in the right direction we have obstacles in the path of progress (and I'm sure that there are more to come).
Cool story bro
I found this interesting.
@Everyone going on about this being atheist drivel, I'd say it fits deism better.
This...this blew my mind. Everything about this made complete sense. My only provisio is that the grammar and punctuation could have been better. But DAMN!
Author, Author! Thanks for posting. Excellent work. Could you get God to speak in shorter paragraphs, though?
agnostic, philosophy, athiesm
I thought it was pretty clearly atheist fanfiction... I don't see why anyone would take it literally. I usually disdain pro-atheist articles/stories/whatever(pro-anything, actually), and perhaps this is what caused me to perceive an underlying tone of self-righteous arrogance over people of other religions, but I generally liked the story. It had interesting ideas and was an enjoyable read. He was at least more subtle in his religion-bashing than what you would normally find in a pro-atheist piece of writing.
It's hard to make the argument that he's just trying to spread his beliefs and discount those that oppose his, as anyone can just shout, "IT'S JUST A STORY. RELAX." But I'm convinced that this was the point. While I disagree with his desire to sway others toward his ideas, I enjoyed reading the story and that's what I think should matter.
..Not that my individual thumbs up is worth anything or needs to be justified.
Most interesting thing I've read all day.
Clever, but a little too self-righteous to be totally enjoyable. You can claim to be the only one to talk to God when your writing gets spread in ways other than StumbleUpon.
great! read. so interesting and thought provoking.
