Nice! I love this idea. Only problem is prise at 85$ but apart from that.
If the adapter weren't $85, this would be great. It's the cheap mans route to better gaming.
But you can probably buy a cheap used desktop off ebay for the money you would pay for this setup, and just stick the card in that. Consoles also provide a cheap way to game.

If you can afford all that excess hardware (including the mini case) you can probably afford to buy a decent laptop and extra RAM that it can share with the IGP.
From the page: a passive PCI-e x16 to x1 adaptor --- good god, why. First, why buy a Laptop for demanding games at all, and second, those numbers in the slot descriptions are not just for show. You wouldn't plug in a 16 GB USBStick and expect it to surpass your built in RAM for performance, can't imagine this faring any better.
