is matter solid or energy???
is matter solid or energy???
Missing a lot of information. Check http://physics.stackexchange.com/ to learn more about wave particle duality
this did mind fuck me, like 10 years ago.
think about what de Broglie said: all matter travels in waves.
This site has a very interesting animated video for all you quantum physics fans out there...illustrating the yet unknown dynamics of matter.
insane clown posse doing scientific articles now? When are they going to tell me how magnets work!?!
So...if a tree falls and no one is there to hear it, it may not actually make a sound.
very easy to understand, A+
OMG ! This is like, so like, bieber, teaching you like physics n shit !
"Does the electron somehow know that it is being watched?" /facepalm
Next time, try to understand what the video is saying before making a half assed article about it...
The so-called observer effect has nothing to do with human observation; the video shows an eyeball watching the experiment, collapsing the wavefunction, which is profoundly misleading. The only way to observe this experiment is to electromagnetically measure which slit the electron travels through: the electron is in a sense sucked into one or the other slit by the electromagnetic field used to measure its path, which has absolutely nothing to do with the electron "knowing" it was being "watched". It should be called the measurement effect. Whether or not a human is watching the experiment or not, no matter how much they believe their consciousness has an effect on the quantum world, a diffraction pattern will ALWAYS appear. Only through electromagnetically measuring the system will the electron pass through only one slit without self-interfering. It is a beautiful, enlightening experiment, but does not at all give evidence that human consciousness effects the behavior of electrons. And it definitely does NOT indicate that "The video shows scientific proof that there is something NOT quite logical or scientific about this universe."
"There are a couple things out there that science still cannot explain" - No, there are lots of things out there that Science can not explain, YET. That's the beauty of Science, it is endlessly increasing our understanding of the Universe. People who use the word 'mindfuck' are usually poorly educated halfwits who come across something that'll they'll only have a superficial understanding of because they are too lazy to find out more.
From the page:"The video below shows scientific proof that there is something NOT quite logical or scientific about this universe." No it doesn't. I feel like you must not know what the words logic or science even mean in order to write that sentence. Luckily most people don't read text when there's a video on the same page they could just be watching instead. And the video is pretty cool.
don't pander to the stumblers
Hmm so wtf?
If matter had a functioning center then why would it decide to act like a marble if it was being watched???
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
