I've done this as well with plain white string, and then spray painted them for color--as when I tried it with colored yarn, the wallpaper paste/glue mixture gave it a chalky and flaky finish. Spray painting them also helps to seal the fibers, making them easier brush off when they get dusty. Be careful not expand the balloon you use to to big a size either, as when you go to pop it the force can damage your final product. Spray shellack can make them more weather resistant, but I wouldn't recommend leaving them outside for long periods of time.
I thought the logo read "Pichos". Am I dumb or am I right in thinking it's just a BAD logo?
