Very good site to have safe computer usage and Tricks and tips Regarding the same..
OK info for the not so experienced users. However, the tip for virus removal is retarded. The only way to remove malware is a format. Period.
"Set the boot sequence to C: first in the BIOS. This can be "C only", "C,A" or whatever you want as long as C: comes first."
...And this will prevent a virus how? This would cause more trouble then it would save.
Good tips for beginner's but nothing really new.
A quick read of this web page, it is advice from 6 years ago . Lets have something a bit more up to date!
Don't people get tired of these same old tips? Or better yet, don't people get tired of guidelines and mechanisms that dictate security vs. usability tradeoffs for you? Or how about relying on the kluge that is blacklist-based security (i.e. anti-virus programs)? And operating systems that give any old program free rein on your computer (or at least your files)? And its corollary: minor bugs that expose the whole computer?
And don't say "OSX" or "Linux", cause it's not a solution, but it is a start.
um......sure.... or switch to linux and not wory about this
