Macs are easy to upgrade.. I own an upgraded mac and i did it easily..
Most of the stuff Apple uses is custom made just for them. The only exceptions would be the HDD's. That's why they cost more. And having used both, Windows isn't the greatest options for media lovers anymore now that iTunes has taken over.
I use both platforms because both have their advantages. Get off your high horse.
Windows is a piece of junk and macs are as easy to upgrade as pcs
Really good one..
mac is secure and reliable
This is pretty stupid. Take it from someone using unix, Linux, Mac X, and windows 7 for different purposes on multiple computers. Maybe if he renamed it " why to upgrade your Mac by yourself"
CONTROVERSY!!!!!!! DREAMZZZZZZZ!!!! et cetera. I almost care.
blatant ignorance all the way down the page. The monitor mac uses is an expensive IPS panel compared to normal cheap TNs that you see running around. Resolution on the monitor is significantly higher too. For example, the Dell 28/30" panels that use IPS and have similar resolution is $1000 from dell.com. Apple isn't wrong to charge $1000 for theirs as well. As for the other stuff, call it apple tax for apple's intense research and design teams creating incredibly made and chic machinery.
I. Hate. Macs.
With these points it should be named 'why you should not buy an apple branded pc, but make your own and hack it to run Mac OS' The author seems to forget that 'mac' is specifically the software, as an 'apple computer' is a piece of hardware that is preconfigured to run Mac OS.
This should be renamed "Why You Shouldn't Buy a Mac Pro if You Don't Need It / Don't Understand the Value of It"
Oh deanDANGER, congratulations on proving the articles point. DVD Burners ALWAYS are CD/DVD players and CD/DCD burners these days. I guess mac users really dont know what they are talking about when it comes to hardware.
It's very easy for ignorant people to piss of mac users. Mac's live A LOT longer than a PC. This persons "Superdrive" comment is ridiculous. He/She says "it's just a DVD Burner" hmmmm, nope. it's an all of the above (CD/DVD player, and CD/DVD Burner) Look i like either, Mac is better for me, PC's are flexible with parts IT DOESN'T MATTER. Just don't be ignorant about your choice.
Apparently it's very easy to push a mac user's buttons.
this is dumb
