what does this have to do with architecture?
I have to give a thumbs down because this is just a picture. What of? what significance?
But yeah, I got excited as the image loaded
and then was disappointed. It would be much
more astonishing if it were real.
i wish all astronomy pictures would clearly indicate if they are cg, photos, or composite images. wouldn't that be super?
What is this?
You can't tell if it's CG or real? Are you serious? Have you looked at the picture?
Nice find astrokiwi
http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/news/2010/pr201012_images.html - this is an "artist's concept"
This picture is probably CG'd. I don't believe anybody has directly viewed an accretion disk with this level of detail, also any time you add such varied colors it is definitely CG'd in some way, they usually make these pics by combining many different spectrum, from ultraviolet to visible light to gamma rays.
In short, this pic is probably 1/2 real, but that disc is BS.
Looks like a binary star system with an accretion disk.
I can't tell if this is CGI or the real thing.
