Not going to lie, these are pretty tricky..it could just be because it is still early in the morning..I think I need another cup of coffee!
Life Has Taught Me窶ｦ
Don窶t be so attached to the well-being of your physical body while neglecting the well-being of your character. Rather, focus on yourself and seek to perfect your own virtues. You are distinguished by your own unique character and not by your physical being.
Riddles are not lateral thinking problems. They're just riddles.
Didn't RedF0x read the solution? Of course round covers are better, for exactly that reason...
It has always been my opinion that "lateral" thinking problems are stupid. I have never seen a set that I thought were actually interesting or significant in any way -- I think the whole thing is a sham.
From the page: "8. A man holidaying abroad fell off a yacht into deep water. He could not swim and he was not wearing anything to keep him afloat. It took 30 minutes for the people on the yacht to realize someone was missing. The missing man was rescued two hours later. Why didn't he drown?"
Logic problems with, erm, logical solutions.
From the page: "Why is it better to have round manhole covers than square ones?"
It isn't any "better". WTF kind of question is that?
Update: After thinking about it, I've decided that square ones are actually better.
I love these kinds of things.
