This plant has been demonized way too long!! It has been used for thousands of years to make textiles, alleviate chronic pain, used as a food source for animals & humans...now with reaching peak oil & the loss of trees & resulting soil depletion and erosion, this miraculous plant/herb could be used to replace the felling of much needed trees, replace cotton, which is now genetically modified,it could also be used (as it is in some states) as a plant that alleviates chronic pain, & helps psychologically in terminal illness. This plant does not need pesticides, chemical or soil treatments, it thrives like a weed, and in many places in the world can be planted & harvested 3 times a year!! It will grow in the worst soil & it has a good deep root growth that would help with soil erosion. The only 'bad' thing about this plant is that it threatens big agro big pharma & the petroleum industry. It's wholesale growth & use for so many products could actually HELP the planet & mankind. It is demonized because it threatens Large Corporations & their monopoly & stranglehold over humanity. Humanity needs to be informed of the many uses of this plant, & empower itself to use plants & herbs as they were meant to be used 'for the healing of the nations'.
this is really difficult to read ~_~
Keep in mind that bamboo is also sort of a wonder plant like marijuana. Just sayin' it's good to know all the angles someone would come at you on in an argument.
The only one of these I actually find reasonable is the medicine one. The rest seem really far-fetched. You're saying Marijuana is illegal because the big consumer textile producing companies are afraid of it's competition? If it were legal, couldn't they just use it also? Not a very valid argument...
Why hemp is illegal; it's too damn useful for its own good.
Awesome pic !
Until we exile our current politicians this is the unjust world we're all in for.
Fu** patents!! Fu** what people in government think! We need to start utilizing it's full potential whether or not it can be "owned" or "patented". It grows, it's renewable, we can all share it! I can go off on this all day, only because the real realization has not "awoke" the majority of the people on earth..
i wonder untill when are these multinational corporations going to control our lives
cannabis isn't patented, but Cannabinoids are, & the government holds that patent. http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/6630507.html
Why Cannabis is illegal: It can't be patented, and is incredibly useful.
good infographic showing why it will stay illegal
Now think why other things are illegal.
