I have to agree with some of those who have commented. Pure breds are indeed beautiful, and the controlled breeding bring out the best physical and emotional traits of the breed. Unfortunately, it also brings out the worst. For a great pet, I'll take a bastardized, mixed-breed anytime.

I agree that the pure bred cats are beautiful, but I have always thought that rescues and barn cats have better personalities.

those pictures are excellent. i loved them. never heard of controlled breeding, though. there's nothing wrong with mixed breed.
