It's one thing to promote quotes, but it's quite another to promote ignorance. Who is Donald Morgan, and why is such an absurd ignorance of biblical scholarship being quoted here? The Gospel of Luke is the one where Jesus is in control of everything, the Gospel of Matthew is the one where everything must conform to prophecy, and the gospel of Mark is the one where Jesus is very, very human, and his Passion is characterized by being lost, in pain, and confused. It is from this Gospel that we get the quote "My god, my god, why hast thou forsaken me?", because in Mark's Gospel, Jesus isn't God. That theology didn't really develop until when John was written.
